Born Again

Your failures and sins don’t count against you anymore.
Imagine if someone told you that everything you had done up to this point in your life was worthless, and that you actually did need to start your life all over again. Would you punch them on the nose? I hope not, because Jesus said that to see the kingdom of God, we all need to start again, to be born again.
Jesus said that to Nicodemus, who was the leading theologian of his religion.
Nicodemus must have been totally shocked when Jesus told him he needed to be born again. It’s a bit of a blow to the ego to be told that everything you’ve achieved means nothing.
But it’s true, in terms of your salvation. Now, here’s the real upside. It also means that your failures and sins don’t count against you anymore. If you think about it, you’ll realise that a new start is what people have wished for all along.
