Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year —but for many of us, it’s one of the hardest — grief, disappointment, loneliness, exhaustion. We try to manufacture joy, but deep down we know it’s just survival.

In Isaiah 35, God promises to transform our deserts, restore what’s broken, and bring us home with everlasting joy. This isn’t superficial happiness or forced cheerfulness — it’s the settled gladness that comes when God reverses the curse, heals our wounds, and drives sorrow away forever.
