Unlimited: God Has Made it Plain To Us

…since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them (Romans 1:19)
God is infinite but human beings are finite. Therefore not everything can be known about God. However, what can be known about God has been made plain, so that all who want to know, can know it.
Paul here is referring to God’s revelation to humanity since the beginning of the world. However, from here Paul will focus on a specific revelation; in fact the greatest revelation that God has ever given the human race.
It is Jesus who makes what may be known of God plain to us.
Jesus Christ is the fulness of God’s self-revelation to the world. Jesus specifically taught that he had come to reveal the Father (John 17:25–26). He taught that to see him was to see the Father himself (John 14:9; See John 1:18).
More than being the light of the world (John 8:12), Jesus is actually himself the source of all light (John 1:9). Ultimately, it is Jesus who makes what may be known of God plain to us. Even more specifically, he has shown us the way to the Father and to eternal life.
What was once impossible has now been made plain and simple through Jesus Christ.

What are the things about God that you don’t understand? Are they important things or things that don’t matter? If they are important, how can does the life of Christ help you understand them?
