Never Be Ashamed
Most of us, if not all of us, have secrets. Some of them might be perhaps secrets that we would never dare tell anyone. And if they’re secrets of the bad kind then you might understand what shame is.
Shame is the worst, isn’t it? But there is a way in which you will never be ashamed.
Indeed shame is one of the worst of human emotions. Shame is different to guilt. Guilt tells you that what you did was rubbish. Shame tells you that you are rubbish.
It is shame that keeps people imprisoned in abusive relationships. It’s shame that keeps people enslaved in the worst addictions. It does these things by telling you that you are unworthy of being loved so you try to fill the aching hole within you in ways that cause you harm.
Jesus can deliver you from shame. Remember the Bible says anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.
